Empty seats – Dare you to move

“Create empty seats in irresistible environments, and God will fill them.”

That was the message that John brought on Sunday, while sketching the story of Stellenberg over the past 7 or so years, and how God has continued to work miracles in our local church.

Listen to the message here.

I have never been as excited for our church as I am right now.

So where to from here? God’s call to us is to consecrate ourselves. Basically that means to dedicate ourselves to His work. So many people have already started along this walk. John shared it us a budget that would seem daunting if it was only up to us, but to God it is nothing.

On Sunday we start holding services at the Old Mutual head offices in Pinelands. This is  big move and needs a lot of commitment from all of us.

But if it means we can create empty seats in irresistible environments, then I think we will all do what it takes.

So far R908,500 of the required funding has been pledged. That is faith in action.

So, pray four our leaders, pray for our members, but most of all pray for the people of this city that don’t yet know our wonderful saviour and what He has done for them.

Are you going to allow God to write you into his story?

wow, that’s almost a million in pledges. Very impressive especially regarding the current economic climate.

I am exciting as well, big time; not only in my involvement in video but also (more so) in the potential life change this move will bring.

Looking forward to those empty seats being filled.
