We would like to thank you all for an amazing response to our Metro Kids Africa Christmas Gift project. We have managed to reach our target of 600 boxes and more.

All the extra’s will be given to Metro Kids to distribute to children in other areas.

We still need volunteers for either 7 or 14 November at 10h00. There is going to be loads of fun, serving and connecting happening. If you do come to help don’t forget to bring scissors.

If you feel like showing off your baking skills, please bring a plate of goodies to share.

Another opportunity to get involved, is the drop off days 25 and 27 November, try to take the afternoon off, it will be an experience to remember.

Please use the reply slip so we can see how many helpers we will have.

WOW!!! We are making progress, we have almost reached our goal of 600 boxes.  We have an amazing 574 boxes pledged so far.

But, please do not let this stop the generous hearts, if we receive more than our goal there are many children at other Metro Africa’s sites that will be happy to receive a present.

We still need lots of helpers for the 7^th and 14^th November from 10am to pack, wrap or bring something to eat.

So if you are able to help in donating a box or giving of your time on the above dates, please click here to fill in a reply slip, letting us know when and what you can help with.

Dear Stellenberg Community Church (for however long that name stays )

I have been going to Stellenberg since Feb 2000
It has been the biggest blessing in my entire life and I will never forget it. I’ll never forget the wise words I received one early Sunday morning “Why do you enjoy helping at Stellenberg, the right answer is that you feel part of something bigger, now say it to the camera”
Thinking about that it really is true, Stellenberg has not only allowed me to become one of God’s children but has allowed me to be part of something bigger than myself.

I’ll definitely miss the music, especially the electric guitar (go Sam Gareth and Matt)

Thank you Stellenberg, see you in 8 months

We don’t generally coach the responses we want to questions, but this example is a great example of someones realisation of the scope of their involvement in our corner of the global Church.

How does it make you feel to be a part of something much bigger than yourself?

 I have had the privilege of putting this montage together from a multitude of testimonies and stories we have filmed in our church.  It had to be limited to 5 minutes and I can tell you that 5 minutes does not adequately tell the whole story!  It was a great reminder, when reviewing the stories again, that this is what it is all about – ultimately; the life change that we want to see in people’s lives  - life change that happens when a person comes to know Jesus Christ.  I long to see more, I want to be inundated with requests to film people’s stories about Christ’s impact in their lives – and to film their baptisms.  In essence this is the evidence that God is at work in our world today. 

The collection is from a pool of stories dating back to 2005.
