When people are in a growing relationship with Jesus, they are more honest, better parents, more generous, and they positively affect those around them. This is why our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus.
I’m sure you’ve asked the question “why won’t people come to church with me”. Have you ever been frustrated by that? You invite someone, “I think you should just come, I think you will love it.” You’re trying to describe it to people, no it’s not like what you think. Maybe a better question to ask is not, “why won’t people come to church with me”, but rather “where are they going?” or “What is the natural rhythm of their life?” and is there a way we can as the church connect with them in the natural rhythm of their life.
That is the essence of what we want to do. Its not about a building even though there are buildings involved. Its so much bigger than that. It is about our vision of creating a church that unchurched people love to attend. We want to create a space that attracts families, the community, business leaders and provides ministry space for us as Southpoint Church.
We want this facility to serve as the epicentre of our continually expanding ministry efforts in this area. As excited as we are about this facility opportunity, we want this to be the beginning and not the end. Our prayer is that every person in this city would have an opportunity to experience an irresistible church. So, we dream of multiple locations in the future.
